<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradtion of a recording film effectively in a calibration area where, for example, calibration processing is carried out, in an information recording medium of a recording type, for example, a rewritable type or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording medium (100) comprises: (i) a recording area capable of recording record information therein by irradiation of a laser beam; (ii) one or more calibration areas (F-ODAT or the like) for performing calibration processing of a laser beam characteristic (power); and (iii) a managing area (RMA or the like) capable recording management information (50) for managing a frequency of the calibration processing based on the calibration area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
