<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is necessary to arrange an IC card or a portable unit including an IC chip proximately to a content reproduction device to unite them in order to reproduce a content package, and that it is difficult to simultaneously reproduce content packages by a plurality of content reproduction devices in a system for performing digital copyright management by using the IC chip. <P>SOLUTION: User reproduction condition data where holding of a state stored in an IC chip is needed and the state data of the user reproduction condition data are read in a content reproduction device, and the state data in the IC chip are updated by subtracting the data for the user license moved to the content reproduction device.
