<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a secure and rapid re-search operation, which is performed when incidence of a light beam is cut off during a servo operation, without increasing a deflection frequency in a biaxial light deflection means as to a photodetector including the biaxial light deflection means capable of controlling the deflection of the light beam. <P>SOLUTION: A DSP 13 performs a first re-search operation by controlling deflection of the two-axial light deflection means 1 to a wider range when incidence of the light beam 11 is cut off and when a servo control signal (Sx, Sy) is large and performs a second re-search operation by controlling the deflection of the two-axial light deflection means 1 so that a track of an incidence position forms a Lissajous figure in a portion of a region where the deflection is possible when the servo control signal (Sx, Sy) is small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
