<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake with a tapered sliding pin which is designed to keep the position as desired during the operation of a brake and a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The disc brake can be operated to apply clamping force to a rotary disc. The disc brake comprises a supporting bracket, the slide pin connected to the supporting bracket, inside and outside bake shoes, and a caliper supported by the slide pin. The supporting bracket is a substantially rectangular frame which forms a window. The window can receive part of the disc protruded therethrough. The supporting bracket has a pair of spaced holes extending through the frame.
