<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of acquiring information of a printing apparatus, with further flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: This information processing method uses a monitoring means LM36 that acquires and holds information from a printing apparatus via a communication medium (network 4) by use of an information request or an event registration.
