PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the power conversion efficiency of a power supply circuit having a power factor improvement function while decreasing the number of circuit components. SOLUTION: A rectified and smoothed voltage Ei from an AC power supply is generated from a rectifying and smoothing circuit and inputted through a choke coil PCC to a converter transformer PIT having a leak inductor. A primary series resonance circuit of a primary series resonance capacitor C2 and a leak inductor L1, the leak inductor L1 and the choke coil PCC and a primary parallel resonance capacitor C1 constitute a voltage/current resonance converter of class E performance. Furthermore, a secondary series resonance circuit composed of a secondary series resonance capacitor C3 and a leak inductor L2 is provided, power is converted by a multiple resonance converter and a resonance voltage generated in the primary series resonance capacitor C2 is fed back to a power factor improving circuit 10 thus constituting a switching power supply.
