PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixture for replacing a chain of a man conveyor capable of being easily mounted to the chain and inserting a distal end of the fixture without being hooked on a tooth of a sprocket making the chain as a guide. SOLUTION: The fixture 10 for replacing the chain for replacing the chain 5 wrapped around the sprocket 18 is formed in a U shape in cross section having an upper half part, i.e., a portion attached to the chain and having both upper left and right side walls 10a, 10b and a bottom surface wall 10c for connecting both left and right side walls at its lower end. The fixture has an engagement upper surface wall 10d inwardly extending and engaging at least one side upper end of the chain in such a state that it is attached to the chain on an upper end of at least one distal end of both left and right side walls. Whereas, a lower half part of the fixture for replacing the chain has both lower left and right side walls 10e, i.e., a portion guided by the sprocket, downwardly extending with a predetermined clearance from a lower surface of the bottom surface wall and clamping the sprocket 18 from both sides.
