PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear fender and a saddle riding type vehicle equipped with a rear fender capable of avoiding difficulty of die forming due to the complication of shape, and easily mounted to a vehicle body frame by reducing the number of mounting parts. SOLUTION: A battery box 40 provided separately and independently of the rear fender body 30 is fitted to the rear fender body 30 of resin molded article, and the rear fender body 30 is held through the battery box 40 to the vehicle body frame by suspending the battery box 40 to the vehicle body frame.
