<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil, which has a fine diametral barrel employed in a mechanical pencil for a pocketbook or a mechanical pencil for a combined writing utensil and has a small outer diameter, in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the mechanical pencil, the lead of which is delivered by advancing a chuck provided ahead a lead tank through the advancement of the lead tank executed through a sliding pressing member interlocking with a push-button member by depressing the push-button member, the tip part of a crown is installed in the rear end part of the barrel so as to provide the pressing member in the crown and a coiled sprint between the rear end stepped part of the crown and the tip stepped part of the pressing member in order to energize the pressing member towards the rear end side of the barrel in order to slidably provide the pressing member and, at the same time, the movement of the pressing member towards the rear end side of a barrel is controlled by the tip stepped part of the crown through the formation of a projecting part, which projects radially and has an outer diameter larger than the diameter of the tip opening part of a tail plug, and a slit extending towards the direction of an axis center line at the tip part of the pressing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
