<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal capable of preventing the stored personal information and the like from leaking easily, even when the terminal is stolen or becomes missing, and is kept by another person who is not its true owner. <P>SOLUTION: A code (A) to be updated by a long period (one week for example) is input into the terminal beforehand (12) and is stored (13), and a code (B) to be updated by a short period (10 minutes for example) is received by radio (15). When their combination is proper (16), the terminal can operate (17) so long as it continues to receive the proper code (B), by being operated for that short period of time. When an emergency such as theft occurs, a code (B) in an emergency mode is received, consequently its combination with the code (A) is determined improper, and (all) the operations of the terminal are stopped. When the terminal is not stolen or the like and is in a normal state, on the other hand, a code (A) in the emergency mode is input to the terminal inside a company or the like, its combination with the code (B) in the emergency mode becomes proper, and the operation of the terminal is restored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
