PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burden on a worker and accurately install a member to be mounted irrespective of level of skill of the worker by facilitating the positioning of the member to be mounted such as a bracket and the holding of the member to be mounted during shutter installation operation and preventing the member to be mounted from being swung or displaced during the fixing of the member to be mounted. SOLUTION: This shutter installation assisting device comprises a patch member 8 formed of a magnetic plate material and having U-shaped cross section, a magnet 11 installed in the rear recessed part of the patch member, and a lever 15 pivotally supported at the front surface one end of the patch member. The patch member has a mounting reference surface on its side face 8a, and can be attracted to a surface to be attracted by a magnetic force through the lateral end face of the patch member. The lever comprises a pressing part in contact with the surface to be attracted and a handle part 15a. By raising the handle part, the one end part of the patch member can be separated from the surface to be attracted by using the contact part of the patch part as a fulcrum.
