PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet take-out device capable of reducing the load resistance in the direction opposite to the take-out direction and consistently taking out paper sheets. SOLUTION: The paper sheet take-out device 1 comprises a loading table 2 for loading a plurality of postal matters P in an upright direction, floor belts 4a, 4b, 7 which are partially exposed from the loading table 2, a backup plate 3, a take-out roller 11, and an auxiliary roller 18. The diameter of a pulley 5a with the floor belt 4a on the downstream side in the take-out direction T2 of the postal matters P wound therearound is set to be larger than the diameter of a pulley 5b with a floor belt 4b wound therearound, and the conveying force by the floor belt 4a is set to larger than that by the floor belt 4b by driving the pulleys by the same floor motor 6.
