PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip device for an endoscope, capable of always stabilizing the posture of a clip in an opened state projecting forward from the distal end of a sheath to the distal end of the sheath, and smoothly guiding the clip to accurately grasp a diseased part. SOLUTION: The clip device for the endoscope has the clip 1 made of an elastic material. The rear end 1b of the clip is bent back in the shape of a loop or half loop, and is expanded forward when the outside force is not applied. A clip rear end retaining chamber 11 for retaining the posture of the clip 1 constant by storing the part of the clip 1 around the rear end 1b is provided at the distal end 10 of the sheath 3 in the clip device for the endoscope.
