Bisazoquinolone pigments which, in one of the tautomeric forms thereof, correspond to formula (1) wherein W is the radical of an unsubstituted or substituted C₆-C₂₄aryl or the radical of an unsubstituted or substituted heteroaryl, Ar₁ is unsubstituted or substituted C₆-C₂₄aryl or unsubstituted or substituted heteroaryl, Ar₁₁ is unsubstituted or substituted C₆-C₂₄aryl or unsubstituted or substituted heteroaryl, R₁ R₁, R₂, R₁₀, R₁₁, and R₁₂ are each independently of the others hydrogen, C₁-C₆alkyl, halogen, cyano, CF₃, nitro, NR₃R₄, COOR₄, NR₄COR₃, COOX⁺, COR₄, OR₄, SR₃, S0₂R₃, S0₂NR₃R₄, S0₃-X⁺, or C₆-C₂₄aryl unsubstituted or mono- or poly-substituted by R₅, R₃ is C₁-C₆alkyl, or C₆-C₁₂aryl unsubstituted or mono- or polysubstituted by halogen, hydroxy, OR₇, cyano, nitro, SR₇, NR₆R₇, COOR₇, CONR₆R₇, NR₆COR₇, NR₆COOR₇, COO-X⁺, COR₄, OR₄, S0₂R₇, S0₂NR₆R₇, S0₃-X⁺ or by S0₃R₇, R₄ is hydrogen or has the same meanings as R₃, R₅ is hydrogen, C₁-C₄alkyl, halogen, nitro, NR₇R₈ or OR₇, R₆ is hydrogen or C₁-C₃alkyl, R₇ and R₈ are each independently of the other hydrogen, C₁-C₃alkyl, phenyl unsubstituted or mono- or poly-substituted by halogen, nitro, OR₅ or by NR₁₆R₁₇, or benzyl unsubstituted or mono- or poly-substituted by halogen, nitro, OR₅ or by NR₁₆R₁₇, and X⁺ is a cation H⁺, Li⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, Mg⁺+_1/2, Ca⁺⁺_1/2, Sr⁺⁺_1/2, Ba⁺⁺_1/2, Cu⁺, Cu⁺⁺_1/2, Zn⁺⁺_1/2, Mn⁺⁺_1/2, Al⁺⁺⁺_1/3 or [NR₁₉R₂₀R₂₁R₂₂]⁺ wherein R₁₉, R₂₀, R₂₁ and R₂₂ are each independently of the others hydrogen, C₁-C₆alkyl, phenyl unsubstituted or mono- or polysubstituted by C₁-C₆alkyl, halogen, nitro, OR₅ or by NR₁₆R₁₇, or benzyl unsubstituted or mono- or poly-substituted by C₁-C₆alkyl, halogen, nitro, OR₅ or by NR₁₆R₁₇, R₁₆ and R₁₇ are each independently of the other hydrogen or C₁-C₆alkyl, Z₁, is -NH- or -0-, and Z₂ is -NH or -0- are suitable for colouring high molecular weight material and are distinguished by the resulting colorations having good fastness properties.
