The manual controls for the trolley (1) are located on the handle (6) and normally it is necessary to manually operate a main switch to connect the battery (5) to the control system. This is replaced by a proximity switch, activated by the presence of an operator, which places the control system in a ready for use condition. The manual controls include force sensors.
