<p>The vehicle is fitted with various sensors (32,34,36,38,40,44,50,51,52) and electronic devices (31) assisting the driver. For starting or driving into a parking lot a crawler function can be only activated when the control device (31) is provided with the appropriate signals. For the mathematical determination of the crawler function the basic momentum is used as a function of a set level of acceleration. The set acceleration level can be determined using the difference between a set crawler speed and an actual crawler speed. An independent claim is given for an automatic transmission unit incorporating the equipment for using the method.</p> |
