A device for checking a damaged portion of a rail is provided to detect a cut section of the rail securely and promptly by turning on a warning lamp and ring the alarm in passing through the cut section of the rail, and to fold and store a couple of frames conveniently by connecting the frames with bellows tubes. A damaged portion checking device(100) includes a couple of frames(10) placed on a rail(1), a connecting part(20) connecting the frames, first and second rollers(30,31) placed in front and rear parts of the frame, and a control box(40) applying power to the first roller and checking power from the first roller through the rail to the second roller. The control box comprises a warning lamp displaying a cut of the rail in passing the second roller through a cut portion, a buzzer sounding the alarm in passing the second roller through the cut portion of the rail, a relay supplying power to the warning lamp, the buzzer and the first and second rollers, a battery supplying power to the relay, and a power switch controlling power supply from the battery to the relay. The connecting part is composed of a first rotary bar combined with the front and rear parts of the frame, and a second rotary bar connected to the end of the first rotary bar.
