<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress drop in durability of an electrolyte membrane or the like even when the outside air temperature drops to a freezing point or lower by the operation stop of a fuel cell for certain time in a fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a solvent storing part for storing a low freezing point solvent having the freezing point lower than water, a reaction gas passage arranged in the fuel cell and through which reaction gas used in electrochemical reaction of the fuel cell flows, a solvent supply part for supplying a low freezing point solvent to be stored in the solvent storing part to the reaction gas passage on and after power generation end of the fuel cell, and a solvent recovering part removing the low freezing point solvent to be supplied to the reaction gas passage and recovering in the solvent storing part before the power generation start of the fuel cell, and the solvent supply part supplies the low freezing point solvent recovered and stored in the solvent storing part when the low freezing point solvent is supplied to the reaction gas passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
