<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter suitable for a semi-transparent liquid crystal display which has a thin liquid crystal, quick response of liquid crystal, and excellent image color. <P>SOLUTION: This color filter for a semi-transparent liquid crystal display has a transparent substrate, a transparent resin layer patterned on the above transparent substrate, and a colored layer formed to cover the above transparent substrate and transparent resin layer. It uses the area where the transparent substrate, transparent resin layer, and colored layer are stacked as a reflection light area, and uses the area where the transparent substrate and the colored layer are stacked as a transparent area. The sum of the colored layer thickness and the transparent resin layer thickness in the reflection light area is 1-3 μm thicker than the thickness of the colored layer in the transparent area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
