PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for liquid crystal display device which can be prevented from being deformed. SOLUTION: The substrate for liquid crystal display device comprises: a flexible substrate; first and second barrier layers which are respectively formed on both surfaces of the flexible substrate and have different thicknesses; and first and second hard coating layers respectively formed on the first and second barrier layers.
