SOIL IMPROVING MATERIAL, TRACK STRUCTURE, AND GROUND REPAIRING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the shear strength of a base course material in the improvement of a base course of a railroad. SOLUTION: A surface of an approximately globular sand particle 14 is uniformly coated with bentonite powder 15 of a predetermined thickness, and such a material is used as the base course material 13. Thus, since the bentonite powder 15 of the base course material 13 can exert an adhesive force and imperviousness to water, the base course is smoothly repaired without a hindrance. Additionally, since the sand particles 14 of the base course material 13 exert a great shear force, the shear strength of the base course material 13 can be maintained even after the bentonite powder 15 swells by absorbing water.
