PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc array device capable of improving its operability significantly. SOLUTION: The disk array device has a movement source volume used as a source of movement when moving data and moves the data from the movement source volume to a movement destination volume used as a destination. The disk array device is provided with an access frequency calculation part for calculating frequencies of access to the movement source volume when an external operation specifies a data movement end date and time. The frequency is calculated at each time zone returning a predetermined period of time at each time from the data movement end date and time. In addition, the disk array device is provided with a predicted data movement quantity calculation part for calculating predicted data movement quantity for the time zones based on the access frequencies calculated by the access frequency calculation part and a data movement start time calculation part for calculating a data movement start date and time based on the predicted data movement quantity calculated by the predicted data movement quantity prediction part.
