The objective of the present invention is to provide a wireless communication unit, which operates on a dry battery and elongates the life thereof, a power control method of the wireless communication unit, and a wireless network using the wireless communication unit. There are included a direct demodulation standby part that stores the identification code of the local wireless communication unit in advance and compares the identification code of a high frequency signal with the identification code of the local wireless communication unit; an intermittent power supply part that intermittently supplies a power to the direct demodulation standby part; and a power supply control part that controls a power supply to a transmitting/receiving part. The direct demodulation standby part notifies the intermittent power supply part and power supply control part of a comparison result as to whether the identification code of the high frequency signal coincides with the identification code of the local wireless communication unit. The power supply control part, when receiving a notification of the coincidence from the direct demodulation standby part, supplies the power to the transmitting/receiving part. The intermittent power supply part, when receiving a notification of the non-coincidence from the direct demodulation standby part, intermittently supplies the power to the direct demodulation standby part. |
