<p>The method involves directly arranging two heat sensors e.g. resistance thermometers (5, 6), at an inner wall of a piping or a channel, where one thermometer acts as a measuring sensor and another thermometer acts as a reference sensor. The thermometers are used to measures electrical resistance variations. A difference of the measured values is evaluated via a circuit with an operational amplifier (8), an analog-to-digital converter (9) and a microprocessor (10), by the thermometers, where the coating thickness is determined in real-time by using a display device (11). An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for continuous detection of a coating or sedimentation e.g. biological coating, in piping.</p> |
