The invention concerns a motor vehicle gearbox comprising a hydrodynamic axial thrust bearing provided with substantially coaxial first and second bushings (2, 3) capable of relative angular and linear movements relative to said axis, said hydrodynamic thrust bearing being produced by shaping said bushings. The first bushing comprises a front radial surface (8), and the second bushing comprises pads (14) opposite said radial surface and separated by grooves uniformly distributed along the circumference of the bushing, each groove being delimited by a surface (16) inclined relative to the geometrical axis of said bushing, said radial surface of the first bushing and the pads and the grooves of the second bushing defining a volume designed to be filled with a lubricating fluid. The pads (14) have, in cross-section, a conical surface (14a) extending over the length of said pads, so as to enable the axis of rotation of one of the bushings to be tilted relative to the axis of rotation of the other bushing.
