<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier scraping device where carrier hardly slips through with its high carrier scraping efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: an image carrier (PR) where an image is developed to a toner image by a developing device (G) possessing two-component developer having carrier and toner; a carrier conveying member (26) equipped with a cylindrical magnet roll (27) where a plurality of magnetic poles extended in a shaft direction are arranged at some intervals in a circumferential direction, and a cylindrical non-magnetic carrier conveying sleeve (28) which moves and rotates while it is opposed proximately to the surface of the image carrier (PR) in such a state where an outside surface is covered; and a carrier scraping blade (33) arranged to face to an upstream side in the rotating direction of the carrier conveying sleeve (28) from the peak position of magnetic field formed on the surface of the carrier conveying sleeve (28) by one of the magnetic poles and whose tip edge (33a) abuts thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
