PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which includes a wide range of viewing angle having uniform color tone therein, can provide the viewing angle equal to that of a cathode tube ray, and has an improved image quality. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a pair of substrates; a liquid crystal layer held between the pair of substrates; a plurality of scanning signal lines formed on one side of the pair of substrates; a plurality of video signal lines; and pixel electrodes and counter electrodes in a plurality of pixel regions formed by the scanning signal lines and the video signal lines. Therein, each of the pixel electrodes is constituted so as to form a side having angleθand a side having angle -θwith respect to the extended direction of the video signal line. The side having angleθand the side having angle -θare formed within one pixel region. Alternatively, the side having an angleθand a side having angle -θare formed within one pixel electrode.
