PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for extracting a program capable of extracting programs whose contents are substantially the same since television broadcasts are recently diversified and the number of channels which can be viewed increases. SOLUTION: The device is provided which can extract programs whose program contents are substantially the same based upon program array information. The programs which are substantially the same may be extracted by cutting out keywords of a plurality of pieces of program information included in the program array information and calculating similarities of the cut-out keywords. To avoid extracting a program other than the programs which are substantially the same, keywords which should not be used for the program extraction is held and even when those keywords are included in cut-out keywords, they are not used to extract programs.
