PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data generating program for generating data for a household electric appliance whereby image data can easily be confirmed. SOLUTION: The program makes a computer function as: a classification means 14 for classifying a plurality of image data into groups; an index image generating means 15 for generating index images obtained by arranging images on the basis of all image data belonging to each group; and a data generating means 16 that generates moving picture data on the basis of the image data, thereafter generates the data for the household electric appliance on the basis of the moving picture data, and registers the index images of a group corresponding to a selected chapter as information of an image displayed when the chapter is selected on a menu image. Since the selection of the chapter on the menu image displays the index image corresponding to the chapter in this way, the image data for configuring the data for the household electric appliance can easily be confirmed by using the index images.
