PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a hybrid vehicle that can reduce the overall length of the unit and enhance the degree of freedom in layout. SOLUTION: The drive unit for the hybrid vehicle is so constructed that: a first clutch and a motor generator are placed between an engine and an automatic transmission; and the motor generator includes a rotor fixed to a rotor shaft, a stator fixed to a motor case, and a pair of bearings that support the motor case. A rotor bracket having a vertical wall extended in the radial direction and a rotor supporting portion extended in the axial direction are fixed to the rotor shaft. The rotor is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotor supporting portion. The pair of bearings are disposed on the inner circumferential surface of the rotor supporting portion.
