<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save time and labor for attaching and positioning the optical components and to reduce manufacturing costs by reducing the number of optical components, to increase the design flexibility of the optical head device by reducing an area necessary for arranging the optical components, and to reduce energy necessary for driving the optical head by miniaturising the optical head device. <P>SOLUTION: This optical head device A is provided with: a polarized beam splitter 3 having a laser light source Ld, a grating Gr, a beam splitter part 31 and a lens part 32; a slider base 1 to which a mirror Mr, a collimator lens Lc, and a 1/4 wavelength plate Qb are attached; and an actuator 2 equipped with an objective lens Lb. The polarized beam splitter 3 is an optical element in which the beam splitter part 31 transmits or reflects an incident laser beam depending on a vibration direction of the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
