<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pump for reducing lateral force acting on a plunger. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel pump has a body 10 having a pump room, the plunger 20 slidably arranged to the body 10 and capable of pressurizing fuel in the pump room, a lifter 30 arranged on the opposite side of the pump room to the plunger 20, a rotary cam 40 pressing the plunger 20 to the pump room side via the lifter 30, and an oil seal 50 arranged between the body 10, a sliding surface of the plunger 20 and the lifter 30. A maximum projection position from the body 10 of an end part of the plunger 20 positioned on the opposite side of the pump room, is positioned on the pump room side more than a lip 51 on the pump room side of the oil seal 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
