<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication technology for easily and surely authenticating the owner of an ID card. <P>SOLUTION: The ID card authentication system for authenticating the owner of the ID card in an organization different from the issuance source of the ID card comprises: means (12, 13, 14 and 15) each inputting the card information of the ID card and the biological information of the owner of the ID card beforehand and making the card information of the ID card relate to the biological information of the owner of the ID card; a means (30) equipped in equipment which is singly installed or needs authentication and registering them for reading the card information of the ID card and the biological information of the owner of the ID card; and a means (11) for collating the registered card information and the biological information with the read card information and the biological information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
