<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus which calculates the rate of the soft and hard rays of a continuous X-ray source without employing an expensive measuring device. <P>SOLUTION: The rate of the soft and hard rays is calculated by modeling continuous X rays by the superposition of monochromatic X rays using transmission thickness characteristic data which show the relationship between transmission thickness and transmission intensity which are obtained by irradiating homogeneous matter with continuous X rays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
