PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction chamber 5a of a water bar 1a for jet-needling a fabric, woven fabric or fleece comprising staple fibers, continuous filaments or acetate fibers, in which perforated suction surfaces 3a, 3b for sucking jetted water are disposed on the lower side 5b of the suction chamber 5a, and by which a water jet released from the water bar is not obstructed by jetted water and water droplets formed by the jetting in all of the longitudinal direction and/or the latitudinal direction of the water bar in the water jet travel direction, and prevents the conventional general production of water drop on the lower side of the water bar. SOLUTION: This suction chamber is characterized in that the suction surfaces 3a, 3b are disposed in an obliquely extended form, and extended from one or both of an upper region 6b and a liquid-dripping corner 6a placed close to the water bar 1a to the lower region 6c of the suction chamber 5a.
