摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy material having excellent chemical conversion treatability, in which the generation of unevenness in chemical conversion treatment is suppressed, and to provide a method for cleaning the same. SOLUTION: Aluminum or an aluminum alloy is subjected to chemical conversion treatment, and is thereafter coated so as to be used as the aluminum alloy material. The aluminum or aluminum alloy is brought into contact with acid or alkali to form an etching face, and, thereafter, the same is brought into contact with water in which each concentration of Ca and Si is controlled to≤5 mg/l to clean the etching face, thus, regarding the maximum value of the elemental concentration in the surface layer part from the surface of the aluminum alloy material to 1μm in a depth direction, it is controlled to≤0.04 atomic% in the Ca concentration, and is controlled to≤2.5 atomic% in the Si concentration.
