PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polylactic acid-based aqueous adhesive composition for use in bonding wood containing a biodegradable polylactic acid as a component. SOLUTION: The new polylactic acid-based aqueous adhesive composition for use in bonding wood contains a polylactic acid(A). In this composition, it is preferable that (1) the polylactic acid(A) be in the form of a polylactic acid emulsion(B) and contains a filler, and furthermore, it is preferable that the polylactic acid emulsion(B) contain a vinyl acetate emulsion(C), contains an acrylic resin-based emulsion(D) and a curing agent(E), or contains an water-based polymer(F) and an isocyanate compound(G).
