A method for production of a tooth replacement piece (3) is disclosed, whereby the tooth replacement piece (3) is connected to a further tooth replacement piece (2) on an inner surface (5) by means of an adhesive (9). A gap (8), between an inner surface (5) of the tooth replacement piece and the further tooth replacement piece (2), is provided for the adhesive (9), whereby the inner surface (5) of the tooth replacement piece is constructed taking into account the optical properties of the adhesive. Furthermore, a tooth replacement piece (3) produced by the above measures, a blank (41) for the production of such a tooth replacement piece (3) and the further tooth replacement piece (2) are disclosed.
