The deflector has a cover unit (14) that is kept at a roof frame (24) and transferable from a closing position into an angled deflection position. Lateral and rear face sides (18, 20) of the cover unit are arranged in a height gap to an opening edge (22) of the roof frame. A screen (30) is provided between the lateral face side of the cover unit and the opening edge of the roof frame. The screen is extended in a longitudinal region of the lateral face side of the cover unit in the deflection position of the cover unit.
