<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which can record and/or reproduce appropriately information to/from, for example, a high density DVD and the conventional all DVDs and CDs. <P>SOLUTION: Since a lens holder main body 12 is constituted of an inner frame member 12c and an outer frame member 12d, and further heat conductivity of a material of the inner frame member 12c is lower than that of a material of the outer frame member 12d, heat conducted to the lens holder main body 12 is discharged from the surface of the outer frame member 12d, blocked by the inner frame member 12c, and uniformed, and uniformed heat is conducted only by a small quantity around objective lenses 109, 209.
