<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus reducing the influence of printing waiting time caused by image quality adjustment and preventing the wasteful consumption of power and toner by changing execution time in accordance with the use situation of the apparatus even though image quality adjusting operation has the same content in accordance with the printing environment. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: an image forming part for forming an image corresponding to two or more kinds of developer; a sensor for detecting at least the one selected from developer adhesive amount, developer adhesive area on the formed image and an image printing position of every developer; and a controller for adjusting image quality based on the result of detection by the sensor, and adjusts the image quality based on the present time and the execution time of the image quality adjustment previously stored in the controller.
