<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the prior art card storage, wherein the size could not be reduced, because a large-scale power supply means is required for driving a display means or maintaining the status of display. <P>SOLUTION: A card storage is provided with: a display means having a memory property; a card detection means; and a switching means for switching information displayed by the display means, based on the information from the card detection means. The card storage is made of a transparent or translucent material so that the displayed information can be checked visually, even in a state in which the card is stored, and the information displayed by the display means can be switched according to the status of whether the card is stored.
