PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted navigation apparatus capable of clearly indicating users of an institution to be easily dropped in. SOLUTION: Based on the running road of the vehicle and the progress direction of the vehicle on the road, whether the institution of indication object is on the lane side facing the progress direction of the vehicle or the one facing the opposite lane is determined. The progress direction lane side institutions are indicated with non-transparent institution marks and the opposite lane side institutions are indicated with transparent institution marks.
