PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of reducing the time of access authentication and a processing load in handover. SOLUTION: The communication system comprises a plurality of AP3a's communicable with a mobile terminal 4, a domain 10a having an authentication server A executing the authentication of the mobile terminal 4 according to a first authentication system, a plurality of AP3b's communicable with the mobile terminal 4, and a second domain 10b having an authentication server B executing the authentication of the mobile terminal 4 according to the second authentication system. When the mobile terminal 4 performs the handover from AP3a to AP3b, the authentication server A transmits authentication session information required for a high-speed authentication system capable of performing authentication processing faster than the second authentication system to the authentication server B. The authentication server B receives the authentication session information from the authentication server A, and uses the authentication session information for executing high-speed authentication with the mobile terminal 4.
