PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin which is excellent in flame retardancy and moldability, and has improved electric characteristics. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition having improved electric characteristics comprises a base resin (such as a polyester-based resin), a halogen-based flame retardant (such as a brominated polybenzyl (meth)acrylate-based resin, a brominated styrenic resin, or an alkylene bis brominated phthalimide), and at least one phosphate (C) selected from the polyphosphate (C1) of an amine compound comprising at least an aminotriazine condensation product, the polymetaphosphate (C2) of an aminotriazine and/or an aminotriazine condensation product, the salt (C3) of polyphosphoric acid having a number-average condensation degree of≥20 with an aminotriazine and/or an aminotriazine condensation product, and the (poly)phosphate (C4) of a (poly)alkylene polyamine compound. In order to further improve electric characteristics, an olefinic resin [such asα-2 or 3C olefin-(meth)acrylate copolymer] may be contained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
