The present invention provides radiation-curable polyurethane resin compositions exhibiting reduced viscosity and processes to produce such compositions. The radiation-curable polyurethane resin composition comprises the contact product of (a) at least one active hydrogen-containing compound having X active hydrogen atoms, (b) at least one polyisocyanate having F isocyanate functionalities; and (c) at least one radiation-curable small molecule having one active hydrogen atom; wherein F and X are each a number >=4; and wherein at least about 80% of the composition comprises an adduct of X moles of polyisocyanate and (F-1)X moles of radiation-curable small molecule per mole of active hydrogen-containing compound.
