The invention concerns a method for making a structural element comprising a composite material with organic matrix filled with reinforcing particles and/or fibers coated with an organic coating, said method including the following steps: a) selecting coating components capable of being subjected to a first hardening, a prepolymerization for coating and components for the matrix being in liquid state prior to polymerization and in solid state after polymerization, b) coating the reinforcing particles and/or fibers, c) prepolymerizing the coating while controlling the degree of crosslinking, d) incorporating the coated reinforcing particles and/or fibers in the matrix in liquid state, e) polymerizing said matrix, the reaction temperature selected and/or resulting from the exothermal reaction of polymerization being less than the softening temperature of the coating. The invention is useful in particular for making structural elements for building halls or more generally containers consisting of partitions or the lining of existing partitions or the production of transport pallets. |
