PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crank shaft support structure for an industrial engine of extended lifetime. SOLUTION: The crank shaft support structure for the industrial engine includes a connecting rod converting linear reciprocating motion to rotary motion, a crank shaft outputting rotary motion, and a roller bearing supporting the crank shaft and attached to an engagement hole provided on a large end part of the connecting rod and guided by an outer diameter surface. The roller bearing includes a plurality of rollers and a welded retainer manufactured by cutting a plate material in a predetermined length and bending the same in a cylindrical shape and welding an end part. All surfaces of an annular part of the welded retainer 11 and an outer diameter surface 17 of a column part 14 are ground in an arch shape. When the outer diameter surface 17 of the welded retainer 11 and an inner diameter surface 29 of the engagement hole come into contact, attackability to the engagement hole is mitigated and wear of the engagement hole is reduced.
