PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce hydrogen by the culture of micro alga in the nearly same environmental condition as a natural condition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the hydrogen comprises storing a culture solution having a proper composition in a culture vessel, inoculating Nostoc commune of blue-green alga in the culture solution, culturing the alga in an aerobic environment under irradiation with light, and collecting the hydrogen from the gas in the culture vessel.
