The invention relates to a method and a device for treating materials (2) that contain fibres or filaments. According to said method, the fibres or filaments are exposed to a stream of particles, initiating the interweaving or entanglement or said fibres or filaments. The invention uses dry ice particles (3), which are heated in the volume of the material (2), thus causing an increase in volume by sublimation and producing a gaseous stream. An effective entanglement or interweaving of the fibres or filaments is achieved by the emission of kinetic energy from the particles (3) to the fibres and filaments and by the gaseous stream. |
